Where it Starts

The mind is a wonderful thing. You do something for many, many years and then try to stop. For some it is smoking or drinking. For me, it was teaching. I was a teacher for 21 years, coming from preschool to Kindergarten to Pre-One to Grade 2 to Enrichment and finally Technology. From Technology (the best job in the world!) I became an administrator. My reasoning was simple - if the tech position allowed me to spread my influence to some of the staff, then administration would let me influence the entire school. How simplistic, I soon found. Anyway, I was an elementary school administrator for the last 6 years of my career. I would probably still be there, were it not for the frustration of change.
